Description
Ancient olive wood trees are considered a part of history. They are classified as ancient because they live for hundreds of years and later they stop producing olives. Their branches become thick, gnarled, and twisted, and using this wood we create beautiful olive wood artifacts like this honey jar. The age of the tree helps to create the unique grain patterns of the piece.
We continually plant new seeds instead of the old and infertile trees that we use to craft our products.
Also, our olive wood has natural anti-bacterial properties that make it ideal in the production of kitchen utensils, tableware, and gifts. It is very strong and durable, and each piece is handmade using traditional methods and the highest quality of wood. That is why it is the perfect material for eco-friendly wooden gifts.
There are no chemicals or sealants on our olive wood honey jar, it is all-natural and coated only with olive oil.
Properly looking after the olive wood items will keep them in a good shape for a lifetime. To keep your olive wood products looking their best please follow this advice:
– Hand wash only, not suitable for dishwashers.
– Do not leave soaking in water or exposed to heat or sunshine.
– Dry immediately with a lint-free cloth.
– Coat with olive oil once a month (or once a week if you use them more frequently) to prevent the wood from drying out:
Gently rub olive oil over the whole surface of your item. Use circular movements and make sure you cover the whole of the item from top to bottom. When you have finished applying the oil remove any excess with either the same cloth, or another one, and store the item in a dry, clean place away from direct sunlight or heat.
Please note: All products differ a little in shape, grain, and texture regarding natural conditions. These items are seamless and no two pieces are alike.
